Kosmos Neo

A typeface with an essence of the future.

This is my third year college project that contains a typeface I designed and it's making.

We were asked to create a typeface by exploring and working on different types of modular grids. I decided to work on a futuristic theme as I was inspired by the series "Dark" that I had been watching at the time.

The first thing I did was creating a Moodboard that gave an gist of what I was wanted.

I wanted my typeface to look modern and advanced with a sense of technology and speed, looking like it was designed for the new tomorrow.

I then started exploring letters with different shapes and forms on modular grids based upon my theme and Moodboard.

I then shortlisted the last one and then created the rest of the alphabets. I chose it as it appealed to me the most and had an essence of everything I wanted. I drew it on a geometric grid on adobe illustrator and went about designing the rest of the letters.

Once I had achieved the basic structure of my typeface, I moved on to the presentation part of it. I called it Kosmos Neo as it gives off the vibes of a new era, rushing into the future

Lastly, I created the possible application of the typeface on different products starting with the NEXON HEX videogame that could be played on the computer, nintendo switch and a portable game console, a gaming mouse called Tron, a smartwatch and a soda named Infuze
