De-criminalizing Sex Work
I have been studying at Torrens University in Australia since the past year and we had to create a counterculture campaign for any of a controversial topics in our community.
As communication designers, it is essential for us to understand how empathy works and how to use it as a tool to create perspective shifts in our society. We as designers should be able to get our points across, loud and clear and also push people to see things from our perspective.
This project contains the in dept research and findings about the violence inflicted upon the sex workers in India and circles back to the creative solution of how I can create a perspective change in the hearts and minds of people when it comes to these people.
Here is a video montage on prostitution in India that gives a broad outlook of the lives of these people, their living conditions and the mental and emotional state.
After researching about their living conditions and lives, I put down my ideas on Miro and mapped them so I could focus on finding a solution to this.
After Mapping my ideas, I worked on finding a creative solution of how I can go about creating my counterculture campaign. This module ran for 12 weeks where I developed my concepts and constantly kept upgrading them to reach my final assessment with my fully developed campaign.
